Beginners Program
Strength and Conditioning Circuits
We believe that training the physicality of one’s body is an integral part of developing a well rounded technical martial arts base, and in turn developing a well rounded individual.
With specially designed body weight circuits that consist of movements from different martial arts to help condition the body, develop cardiovascular ability and train the body and mind to perform under high pressure situations common to real life self defense and combat competition scenarios.
Apart from the basic strengthening of the body, the goal of our strength and conditioning program is to develop an individual’s physical ability to effectively perform movements and techniques taught as part of the beginners program.
Grappling – Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ)
Dubbed as The Arte Suave or The Gentle Art, BJJ has repeatedly proven to be the most effective form of self-defense and fighting for over a century.
Battle-proven and tested in a variety of combat sports and real life self-defense scenarios, the art is designed around using intelligence, technique and leverage to neutralize a much larger and stronger aggressor.
Tracing its roots back to Japanese Judo and Brazil the art systematically teaches and trains an individual to engage their opponent in a series of holds and positions with the dual goal of reducing the physical damage to oneself and further finishing the adversary with strikes, joint locks or a strangle.
The Academy is one of the most prominent entities in initiating the BJJ movement within India and holds the honour of imparting BJJ instruction to multiple Academies, Fight Clubs, Instructors and MMA and Submission Grappling Athletes around the country.
Our coveted Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program is widely regarded as the best in India and has given way to elite BJJ instructors and practitioners within the Indian BJJ circuit.
Striking – Muay Thai Kickboxing
Muay Thai, or the Science of the Eight Limbs, incorporates strikes using fists, elbows, knees and legs.
As an art Muay Thai is widely regarded as the most effective way to fight and defend oneself while standing.
Tracing its roots to Thailand, the art is a popular sport in itself and the style is trained and implemented by multiple combat sports athletes in the MMA space. Unlike any other striking art – the understanding of using the knees and elbows for close range combat translates greatly for smaller individuals and perfect for real life self defense scenarios.
Though a popular sport in itself, originating in Thailand, it is trained widely by MMA athletes. Unlike other striking forms – the understanding of using the knees and elbows for close range combat translates greatly for smaller individuals and perfect for real life self defense scenarios.
The Academy can trace its roots back to some of the first authentic Muay Thai schools in the country, staying true to this lineage and tradition Muay Thai is an important part of the beginner’s program at the Academy.
The beginner’s program at the Academy brings together the above mentioned arts/systems to form a well balanced program to develop mentally strong, resilient and physically able individuals with ability to defend themselves and better handle the hurdles and obstacles of life.
